Meet Therapist Jolene Winsor
Jolene is a Licensed Associate Counselor specializing in trauma and grief who strives to empower each of her clients with the tools they need to establish the fulfilling life they envision. With a previous career as a Master’s level educator, Jolene understands the importance of working collaboratively with clients to understand their specific concerns, strengths, and goals to develop a mutually agreed upon plan for growth.
Jolene utilizes a client-centered, integrative approach to counseling, incorporating practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing (SE), which can help resolve feelings associated with traumatic events. Jolene also uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), which can assist in changing thought patterns to improve mental wellbeing.
Having specialized training in the treatment of grief, she understands that grief can occur when experiencing many different types of losses including job loss, the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, changes in home or job circumstances, etc. Jolene is passionate about supporting clients who are motivated to further their growth and healing; she is invested in helping clients achieve their personal goals through creating a strong rapport and safe space.
